Integrated Biomass-Fuelled CHP/Cooling
System:
2 year Technology Stratergy Board
(TSB) part funded project to develop a micro-scale combined
heat, power and cooling system (CHPC)
Ashwells are the lead partner in
a consortium including Nottingham University, sustainable
energies department in this pioneering project.
This project aims to develop a
first-of-its-kind biomass-fuelled micro-scale CHP/cooling
system. Innovative features include:
Integrated CHP/cooling system
with a high overall efficiency.
For the first time, Organic
Rankine Cycle (ORC) is applied to such a micro-scale
biomass-fuelled power generation system.
A compact, low-cost and highly
efficient micro-turbine.
A low-cost, efficient flue gas
waste heat-driven desiccant cooling unit. |
